Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required TrueBeam and ARIA proficiency for a Radiation Oncology position in Richmond, VA.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department within a Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute,
• Treats approximately 45-55 patients per day across 2 linear accelerators,
• 2 radiation therapists assigned per machine,
• Unit team includes front desk staff, RNs, dosimetrists, physicists, a dietitian, social worker, and director,
• Equipment includes 2 TrueBeam linear accelerators, a GE CT Sim, and an Elekta HDR unit,
• ARIA is used for electronic medical records and treatment documentation,
• Procedures performed include VMAT, SBRT, DIBH, and surface-guided radiation therapy,
• Monday-Friday schedule, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (with occasional end time up to 4:30 PM),
• No floating requirement,

Job Requirements

• Active ARRT certification required,
• Virginia Radiation Therapist license required if applicable,
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, with at least 3 years of TrueBeam experience required,
• Experience with Align RT (Vision RT) surface guidance system required,
• ARIA EMR experience required,
• Must have active clinical experience within the past 6 months,
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration,
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri),
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments using advanced modalities including VMAT, SBRT, DIBH, and surface guidance,
• Facility holds ACR, Commission on Cancer, and NAPBC accreditations for radiation oncology,
• One of the TrueBeam units was installed in 2017 and the other is approximately 1 month old,
• Caribbean blue scrubs required,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible
