Step into a vital role supporting student well-being in a dynamic school environment near Waterflow, NM. This contract opportunity as a School Registered Nurse offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators and families to promote student health and academic success. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll play an essential part throughout the school year, from August 6, 2026, to May 27, 2027. Two positions are available, offering professional growth and meaningful daily impact.

Key Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or higher in Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license through the New Mexico Board of Nursing
• Valid Professional School Nurse License issued by the State of New Mexico
• Strong skills in handling confidential and sensitive situations with professionalism
• Ability to assess health needs and advocate for students
• Excellent interpersonal communication to liaise between students, families, staff, and medical providers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver health services onsite, utilizing nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of school health policies and programs in line with state regulations
• Recognize health concerns that may affect student learning, including social, physical, and psychological factors
• Serve as a resource to students, families, educators, and the broader school community
• Maintain detailed and discreet handling of sensitive student information
• District placements will be assigned (specific site to be determined)
