Clayton Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join a growing company in Northwest Houston. This role supports daily administrative operations while assisting with bookkeeping, AP/AR processes, and overall office coordination.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth office operations
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes (QuickBooks experience preferred)
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in company systems, ensuring CRM data integrity
  • Answer incoming calls and route inquiries to appropriate team members
  • Organize, file, and maintain office records, documentation, and compliance materials
  • Assist with preparing invoices, job documentation, and general paperwork
  • Support month-end reporting preparation and basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Communicate with vendors and assist with maintaining professional relationships
  • Monitor office supplies and coordinate ordering as needed
  • Assist with onboarding support and help maintain standardized procedures
  • Provide general administrative and operational support as needed

Administrative Assistant Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
  • QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team
  • Professional and friendly communication skills
  • High attention to detail and reliability

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous administrative, clerical, or office support experience preferred
  • Experience with bookkeeping or accounting processes is a plus
  • Entry-level candidates with strong administrative skills are encouraged to apply
