About Baldor

Since our beginnings as part of the iconic Greenwich Village retail store, Balducci’s, Baldor has upheld its original promise—to curate and deliver the finest ingredients from around the world. For more than 30 years, we have supported the food industry using cutting-edge logistics, a modern supply chain, and an unwavering commitment to service. Today, we are the trusted distribution partner for top hotels, restaurants, country clubs, hospitals, nursing homes, and culinary professionals across the region.

Position Summary:

The Recruiter plays a key role in executing hiring strategies for requisitions assigned including operations, production, warehouse, and driver positions. Supporting the Senior Recruiters, this role manages requisitions, sources frontline candidates, coordinates hiring events, and ensures DOT-compliant processes for driver recruitment. The Recruiter also provides hiring metrics, time-to-fill reporting, and ATS management to support operational staffing needs.

The ideal candidate thrives in a high-pressure environment, manages multiple job requisitions at once, and is focused on moving candidates from applicant to onboarding swiftly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support full cycle recruiting for high-volume roles including production workers, warehouse associates, pick/pack staff, and driver positions (CDL and non-CDL).
  • Conduct sourcing through job boards, local community outreach, referrals, hiring events, and social platforms.
  • Screen and qualify candidates, including preliminary DOT-related prequalification checks (e.g., MVR flags, required credentials).
  • Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to process, move, and track candidates, ensuring 100% data integrity and compliance.
  • Partner with operations and the Senior Recruiters to understand staffing targets and scheduling needs.
  • Assist in organizing and executing hiring events, open houses, community job fairs, and on-site recruiting days.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and confirm interviews between candidates and hiring managers, managing heavy email/phone interactions.
  • Post, update, and manage job ads across various job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Prepare time-to-fill and hiring funnel metrics weekly for leadership review.
  • Track drop-off and show-up rates for frontline and driver candidates and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety requirements, and company hiring standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years high-volume recruiting experience, preferably in manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or transportation.
  • Experience recruiting drivers and familiarity with DOT hiring considerations preferred.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and comfort with fast-changing hiring demands.
  • Proficiency with ATS tools and high-volume sourcing platforms.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Benefits:

Baldor is committed to supporting the well-being, stability, and long-term success of our employees. We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including:

  • Paid Time Off: Vacation, sick time, paid company holidays & floating holidays
  • Company-Paid Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage
