JOB SUMMARY: The Mailroom / Office Services Associate is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mail operations within a hospital environment. This role includes sorting, counting, and distributing mail, supporting internal mail routes, and ensuring accurate delivery across departments. The position requires physical activity, attention to detail, and basic computer skills to locate recipients and manage records. Cross-training in print and document support services may also be included. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Sort and count incoming mail from the Post Office • Collect and distribute mail across designated hospital routes • Ensure accurate delivery and pickup of mail from various departments • Maintain organization and tracking of mail items • Use computer systems to look up names and delivery locations • Support internal mail routing processes with timely execution • Assist with printing and finishing work as part of cross-training • Handle packages and materials safely, including lifting and transport • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all mail handling tasks REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED required • 1–2 years of related work experience or equivalent • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint) • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to walk extensively and perform physical tasks throughout the day • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs • Good communication and customer service skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively • Basic mathematical and filing skills • Ability to use office equipment and tools PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Prior experience in mailroom, copy/print, or office services environment CERTIFICATIONS: • Valid driver’s license and minimum auto insurance may be required • Must pass background check • Health assessment and flu vaccination required Education: High School
