Medical Assistant (Full-Time)

Location: Appleton, WI 54914
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20-$23/hr (based on certification/experience)
Start Date: Hiring as soon as possible

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join a collaborative, patient-centered clinical team. This role combines hands-on clinical care, patient interaction, and cross-training in front desk and administrative support functions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, team-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:

• Room patients and obtain accurate vitals and medical history
• Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Assist physicians during in-office procedures (including patient preparation such as numbing and room setup)
• Clean and turn over exam rooms and sterilize instruments
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and infection control standards

Patient Experience & Front Desk Support:

• Welcome patients and ensure a positive, seamless visit experience
• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide overflow support to call center as needed
• Support check-in/check-out processes, including payment collection and documentation
• Cross-train in front desk and patient service representative duties

Clinic Operations:

• Open and close clinic following established procedures
• Order medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as needed
• Support daily operational tasks to ensure smooth clinic workflow
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to maintain quality care standards

Travel & Flexibility:

• Work primarily at assigned home clinic location
• May occasionally float to nearby clinic locations (mileage reimbursed)
• Participate in multi-site training during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant OR at least 3 years of relevant clinical experience
• Strong customer service and patient care mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Willingness to cross-train in administrative/front desk functions
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with technology and EHR systems preferred
• Valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with insurance verification, scheduling, or front desk operations
• Familiarity with medical billing or administrative workflows

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Fully onsite
