Fashion Brand: Manager or Director of Talent Acquisition

Location: Los Angeles (Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 remote)

Compensation: $130,000–$155,000

A rapidly scaling, confidential fashion and lifestyle brand is seeking a strategic and hands-on Talent Acquisition leader to build and elevate its recruiting function across both corporate and retail teams. This individual will play a key role in shaping hiring strategy during a pivotal growth phase, partnering closely with executive leadership to attract and retain top talent.

The role blends big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution and requires someone comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving structure and accountability.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and execute a forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy aligned with company growth goals
  • Partner with senior leadership to anticipate hiring needs and develop proactive talent pipelines
  • Establish metrics and reporting to drive hiring performance and decision-making
  • Lead and mentor a team of recruiters, elevating capabilities and introducing modern sourcing techniques
  • Introduce and optimize recruiting tools, systems, and automation to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting across corporate, retail, and operational functions
  • Personally manage searches for senior or business-critical roles
  • Enhance the candidate experience while ensuring consistency, speed, and quality
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen employer branding and talent attraction strategies
  • Implement structured, inclusive, and compliant hiring practices

Who You Are

  • 8–10+ years of talent acquisition experience, with at least several years in a leadership capacity
  • Background in high-growth environments; experience within retail, fashion, e-commerce, or consumer brands is highly relevant
  • Proven track record of building or scaling recruiting processes and teams
  • Comfortable operating in less structured environments and creating systems from the ground up
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
  • Experience leveraging recruiting technologies and a curiosity or exposure to automation/AI tools
  • A collaborative, adaptable leader who can balance being personable with driving accountability
