Christian Menefee For Congress: Field Organizer

Harris County Attorney and Democratic candidate for Congress Christian Menefee seeks Field Organizers for a congressional runoff campaign in the Houston area. Christian is the leading candidate after one round of voting and now faces a highly competitive runoff election.

The Field Organizers will be the face of the campaign, executing the campaign's volunteer recruitment and direct voter contact program. The position runs through the March 3 Democratic Primary and must be completed in person in Houston, TX.

We are looking for strong leaders who are passionate about volunteer engagement and voter contact, both in traditional and creative ways.

Responsibilities

• Within your assigned region, knock on a designated number of doors (approximately 500) per week to discuss Christian's candidacy with prospective voters
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to grow the campaign's volunteer network, coordinating outreach through calls, texts, and emails to achieve weekly recruitment goals
• Lead phonebanks, textbanks and canvasses
• Share upcoming volunteer events with relevant community groups and stakeholders
• Data entry, updating databases, and reporting back to the Field Director on metrics
• Assist with overseeing intern program
• Other duties as assigned in support of the campaign
• This position will report to the Field Director and will be an integral part of the campaign team

• This job is located in Houston, TX. Applicants must be comfortable working in-person with the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

"Nice to Have" Qualifications

• 1 or more cycles of campaign (or other relevant) experience
• Experience using VoteBuilder (VAN)
• Experience managing volunteers
• Experience planning and executing field events
• Experience using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
• Experience working for Democratic campaigns in Houston
